Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 1 July 2026

These terms govern your use of thehofstore.com and every order placed with The House of Fabric. Placing an order means you accept them.

1. Who we are

The House of Fabric is operated by The House of Fabric, Essgee Option One, 3rd Floor, Shop No. 333-336, Near Tilak Bhavan, Opp. Indiabulls, Senapati Bapat Marg, Prabhadevi, Mumbai - 400013. GSTIN: 27AAJFL6940R1ZG. You can reach us at hello@thehouseoffabric.com.

2. Products & orders

We sell fabric by the metre (minimum 1 metre) and made-to-order custom-printed fabric. Every order is an offer to purchase; it is accepted when we confirm it, after which you will receive an order number and updates as it moves through production.

Fabric is a natural, handled product. Minor variations in colour, texture and weave — and small differences between on-screen previews and printed cloth (screen calibration, dye lots, fabric base) — are inherent to textiles and are not defects.

3. Custom prints & your artwork

When you upload artwork or create a design in the Design Studio, you confirm that you own it or hold the rights to print it, and you grant us a limited licence to store, process and print it solely to fulfil your order. You remain the owner of your artwork.

We refuse orders containing unlawful, infringing or hateful content. Custom prints are produced specifically for you and cannot be resold — see the Refund & Cancellation Policy.

4. Pricing, taxes & payment

All prices are in Indian Rupees. GST is charged as applicable and shown before you pay. Obvious pricing errors may be corrected before dispatch; if we do, you may cancel for a full refund. Payment is collected online through our payment partner (Razorpay) or, where offered, by offline collection arranged with our team. Your order ships after payment is confirmed (or as agreed for offline collection).

5. Delivery

We ship across India. Estimated dispatch and delivery timelines are described in the Shipping Policy. Delivery dates are estimates, not guarantees; we are not liable for courier delays beyond our control, though we will always help you chase a parcel.

6. Returns & cancellations

Return, replacement and cancellation rules — including the different treatment of stock fabric and made-to-order custom prints — are set out in the Refund & Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these terms.

7. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Indian law, including under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.

8. Governing law & disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts at Mumbai, Maharashtra have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any rights you have to approach consumer forums.

9. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time; the version published here at the time you place an order is the one that applies to it.
